Retro Denali Hoodie revives iconic warmth with modern recycled fleece and durability

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I’ve worn the Retro Denali Hoodie everywhere—from cold city streets to backcountry campsites. The heavyweight fleece traps heat even on brisk mornings, and the durable overlays make it ideal for throwing on over everything. It’s classic TNF style with technical guts."

We don’t just throw on the Retro Denali Hoodie—we reach for it like an old favorite. Whether we’re bundling up after a long trail day, loading gear in the van at dawn, or running errands in cold city air, this hoodie delivers the warmth, function, and vintage vibes we live for.

The North Face originally designed the Denali with climbers in mind, and this retro revival carries that spirit forward with recycled, heavyweight fleece and weather-resistant overlays on high-wear areas like the chest and sleeves. The elastic-bound hood and cuffs seal in warmth, while an internal waist drawcord lets us dial in the fit. Finished with zippered pockets and that iconic TNF logo, it’s a timeless layer that always gets packed—no matter the forecast.

Love this hoodie

I love this. It's super comfortable and warm and perfect for doing things outdoors where you don't want to be cold but also are moving around and don't want anything bulky.

Didn't like the cinch at the ribs

I didn't like the cinch at the ribs. I much prefer the style where it cinches at the hips instead.

Didn't like the cinch at the ribs

I really wanted to love this- But the cinch at the ribs is weird to me. I would love North face to come back with the style of this where the cinch is at the hips instead.

Stylish and Warm, but a Magnet for Pet Hair

I love the vintage style and how warm this hoodie is, but I regret spending so much on it. The material started looking worn after just a few uses, and it attracts pet hair like a magnet-especially from merino sweaters and other fabrics. While I expected and liked the sporty look, just keep in mind that pet hair will stick to it easily.

Soft, Warm and Lightweight.

It is very soft, perfect length and size and keeps me warm. It is lightweight as well and very stylish and nice looking. I like the size of the compartments, the hood and the level of warmth it provides me on those cold days.

Classic

Its the perfect casual jacket without without being too bulky. Love the hood, but wish it was detachable. Also jacket runs small.
