Great tote!

I love this bag! It fits so much and it's utilitarian but also cute? Only downside, the laptop slot just barely fits my work laptop. I would say it's best for Macs

Nice and roomy

Love the bag. Really roomy. Lots of pockets. Fabric is thick. Reminds you of a big diaper bag with all the compartments.

I've put it through the wringer

I got this bag about a month ago for my commute to work and it has been great, possibly better than I expected. It’s not quite big enough to hold a whole lunch box without it getting quite bulky, but I can bring a bento or a thermos no problem. The water bottle holders on the side are huge, big enough that I can have my water bottle in one and then an umbrella and glasses case in the other. Laptop sleeve snugly fits a 15” laptop, but I usually just keep books in there. There’s also an interior wall zip pocket with mesh, so that’s a nice bit of extra storage. I’ve found the water resistance to be strong, and both the tote straps and the crossbody messenger strap are sturdy and pretty comfortable. Last thing I’ll say is that it is pretty unique compared to what I see other people carrying. I do like that it’s not the typical tote, but it’s definitely nice enough to carry into an office.

Briefcase - not a tote

This is nicely made but too small to be a tote. I returned it. The size and organization make it more a briefcase or small carry-on to stow under an airline seat. The carry handles are too small and thin for shoulder carry so you'd need to use the detachable shoulder strap. Also, the outer pockets are big enough for phone and passport- not much else. I have an older TNF tote that has a wide, zippered mouth, longer thick handles, and interlnal pockets suited for a tote - suggest TNF make it available again.

I realllllllly like this bag

I was looking for a laptop bag to do 6 things (the pressure was ON!): 1) fit my new 15' laptop, 2) be large enough to hold my workday essentials so I don't need to carry 2-3 separate bags, 3) be great for travel, 4) not be ridiculously large or heavy, 5) not be a ridiculously overpriced piece of generic nylon, 6) be cute vs. those 2010s-style "business casual" looking bags that simply aren't my cup of tea! I'm here to tell you - this very thoughtfully designed bag ticks all of my boxes. And believe me, I scoured the market before making this purchase. I love it. It is big enough, but not ridiculous. Its size + super comfy shoulder strap also somehow combine to magically distribute the weight so that even with all of my stuff in one bag vs 3, it still somehow feels lighter. The external pockets are nicely-sized with their own internal organizing pockets. It also has the pass-through slot on the back so it can fit over your luggage handle. The best! I am very pleased with this purchase. If you are on the fence and considering any of the criteria that I was - don't hesitate!

My everyday favorite

Lightweight yet has many pockets for organizing items. I carry my laptop to work and it is a perfect companion.

Perfect bag, except for one thing

The clips on the carry strap are cheap plastic without a swivel. I would never trust those clips with my laptop or expensive camera. Bag is good enough for me to use with the handles over my shoulder. But jeez, North Face, you should really be ashamed of those crappy plastic clips.

Great bag for everyday use

I use this back for the gym everyday. Very convenient and handy. Love it!
