Base Camp Tote Pack blends rugged durability with versatile carry options for daily use

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"This tote pack has quickly become my go-to for everyday commuting and weekend errands. The Base Camp fabric is practically bombproof, and I love being able to switch between backpack and shoulder carry. The zippered front pocket is surprisingly spacious—I can even fit my tablet in there. It’s super functional but still looks clean and modern."

Built to handle the chaos of everyday life with the same toughness as expedition gear, the Base Camp Tote Pack from The North Face brings heavy-duty functionality to urban commutes, campus days, or weekend adventures. Its iconic Base Camp material is durable, weather-resistant, and rugged enough for anything we throw its way.

Inside, the large main compartment easily swallows our daily essentials, and the discreet front pocket keeps a tablet or notepad close at hand. We love the flexibility of switching between backpack and shoulder carry—especially when the day’s plans change mid-stride. With daisy chain webbing for add-ons and compression straps to dial in the load, this tote is built for daily life, but inspired by the backcountry.

Functional bag

I'm mostly happy with the bag. The size and materials are exactly what I was looking for. I have been using this as a work bag. It functions fine. Only thing I would like now after using is a water bottle slip pocket. I attached a carabiner on one of the utility loops and clipped my bottle so not a big problem. Also would have liked a chest strap as the material is a little slippery on my shoulders when wearing.

lighter

I found this backpack/bag very practical. Great for more casual activities. I liked it more because it's lighter for carrying small objects.

compact and stylish

I wanted something a little more stylish than a backpack to take to work and I really like this one. I've received quite a few compliments and I'm happy with the purchase. it's versatile and compact. If you carry a laptop to and from work, this might not be the best. I don't need to, so it's great for me.
