Rival E1 AXS Shift/Brake System delivers wireless shifting and effortless braking in one package
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"This system changed the way I ride—wireless shifting is seamless, and braking from the hoods takes hardly any effort. The ergonomics are spot-on, and the feel in wet or dry conditions is super consistent. AXS just makes it all easier."
Experience full control with the Rival E1 AXS Shift/Brake System—a game-changer for road and all-road riders alike. Redesigned from the ground up, the new hood shape fits a wider range of hands more comfortably, and the raised pivot point in the brake lever enables effortless one-finger braking from both the hoods and drops. That’s up to 80% less effort without sacrificing power.
Fully wireless AXS shifting delivers crisp, programmable gear changes, and textured shift paddles offer confident control even in variable conditions. SRAM’s Reach Adjust lets you fine-tune lever position for the perfect fit, while the lightweight carbon lever and compact profile keep things sleek and efficient on your bars.

Great but expensive levers
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I bought these to use on a 12 speed AXS build and as with everything AXS they are a bit expensive, but they work as expected. I appreciate the interoperability of the AXS stuff, I wanted to try the new ergonomics and getting carbon levers at the Rival level is nice. They would be five stars except for the steep price and I have found I actually like the D2 ergonomics the best of all the AXS road stuff.
