What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"The Flyweight Wading Boot is a game-changer for high-mountain fishing trips. It’s light enough for long hikes, but the Vibram sole grips wet rocks like glue. The stud-compatible outsole gives me extra security in slippery conditions."

Answer the call of remote mountain streams with the Simms Flyweight Wading Boot. Designed for anglers who crave adventure off the beaten path, this boot delivers all the functionality of a traditional wading boot in a lightweight, low-profile package.

The Vibram® Idrogrip outsole offers exceptional traction on wet, mossy rocks, while its stud-compatible design ensures extra grip when needed. Lightweight yet supportive

I bought these to replace my Orvis ultralight boots, which I absolutely loved. For some reason Orvis changed a winning boot and the new one is not getting good press so I thought I would try these. By comparison, these are much lighter and dry a lot quicker. They don’t seem quite as grippy on slippery stones, and as many reviews mention, the gravel guard hook is just not in the right place, so I hook to my laces instead (a minor irritation, but something that should be so simple to get correct). As far as longevity goes, time will tell but so far I’m very happy with these.

Men's Flyweight Boot-Vibram

Men's Flyweight Boot-Vibram was an excellent and comfortable wading boot the first time I used it last week. It was surprisingly sturdy for such a light wading boot and pairs extremely well with your wading pants waders.

You improved my favorite wadding boot!

My old Fly weight boots lasted 4 years of fishing 150+ days a year. These new boots look & feel like they will last longer than that! I absolutely love them. The new vibram sole is definitely less slippery on river rock, and the overall boot feels much more durable than it predecessor (my old ones were very durable). The lace system finally failed on my old boots & they have totally redone that! I’ve used them every day for the last 3 weeks and they barely look warm. Simms, you guys nailed it again with these boots - that’s why your the best… keep up the good work!

Check the new size quite, they run a size smaller then past shoes

I’m a 9. 5 women’s and for years I’ve bought a simms men’s 8 and they fit perfectly but I bought these and they’re def too tight with waders in. Other than that they are so comfortable and light weight.

Men Flyweight Boot

So far the boot has been excellent. Fit is comfortable and true to size. The proof of the pudding will be in the durability over this season. The last iteration of this boot did not hold up so well. However lets cross that bridge when we get there. Good to go.

The new rubberized material seems more durable than the previous version. Feels great and still light weight

New boots

I needed boots with more traction than with my Simms felt sole boots. So far they seem good.
