Hamelin Synthetic Sleeping Bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great Sleeping bag that can be used for camping or even backpacking trips. Backs up pretty well for the price point that it is at.

Good quality in a lightweight bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bag is quality built, and comfortable. It’s lightweight with nice features, like the zipper slides that work great. I enjoy being able to open the top and bottom of the bag in warmer weather, pull up the hood when it cools down at night.

A great car camping bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bag is seriously warm. I've slept in it down to the mid-20s and be comfortable. Unfortunately I bought it to replace my Base Camp II for backpacking, which is a tad big and heavy, however this was slightly heavier, around 4 lbs. and a bit larger, so it's my go to car camping bag. The zippers are remarkable, they do not snag period. They have a "plow" in front of the zipper that keeps fabric out. The hood is well designed to stay in place if you roll in your sleep, it's either over your head, your pillow is stuffed in it, or it's under your pillow, it doesn't get bunched up. Did I mention warm?

Feature rich!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Is it a sleeping bag, or a quilt, or a poncho - wait, it’s all three. Lots of versatility- warm, dries quick, but isn’t the most compact when volume counts, however, the included compression stuff sack really helps. - still a great value and very well made.

Great budget bag to get outside

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to do a motorcycle backcountry trip through Northern California, expected warm summer temps and recieved rain an snow. Bag kept me alive n warm enough to sleep. Love the zipper vent options and the hood. Packs down relatively small for a synthetic

Recently used for cabin camping

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently used for cabin camping in Sequoia. Worked great and was flexible enough to vent when too warm. Plan to buy a second one that can mate with the first.

Better than Expected!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a wide variety of sleeping bags in my 50+ years of hiking / bike touring. For the money, this bag is hard to beat. Well thought out, with many extra features - from the double zip to the fold open/ quilt stye, to the hang loops to help facilitate drying. I love my down bags, but when the forecast calls for rain, I will always pack a synthetic filled bag. Posted temp range is spot on - with just an ensolite / foam pad, and a light base layer, I slept comfortable down into the mid 30s.

Large, Heavy and No Practical Use. . . Pass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited to write this review until I had used this bag a few times, but my initial impression of disappointment remained unchanged. . . The bag has an interesting zipper config that works well, but that is the only pro going for it. . . The bag is too large and heavy for any practical use other than an inhome sleepover or maybe car-camping. The bag does not compress well and is cumbersome. The bags size and weight to heat rating is horrible. The shape is odd and the zippers rub your elbows. I am sorry Sea to Summit, but this bag is a major swing and a miss. Hard Pass on this one and I hope Sea to Summit will do better going forward.

Great roomy bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the 15 degree bag and enjoyed it. This bag is roomy. I slept well as a broad-shouldered 72' man, which is not the norm. I've spent 15 nights in it in temps ranging from 20s to 50s. It was comfortable in all temps, with plenty of venting options if it was too warm and mummy option for the cooler nights. The full zip allowed me to get some fresh air cleansing. I don't have any cons to speak of. Happy to add it to my sleeping quiver.
