My Favorite Shoe

I am now unable to use any other shoe as my daily driver. With this thing I don't have to worry about snow, puddles, or mud. If I need to go hike a hill or run a trail at any time, I'm ready to go. My feet stay clean in dust. This is my shoe until they stop making it.

My favorite shoe for living in Idaho

After wearing this shoe, I won't buy anything else. Where I live, there is often snow, mud, and water. This shoe provides exceptional grip in all of them. The one place the grip is not good is ice, but without metal spikes you won't find a shoe that is better.

Perfect running / hiking shoe

Right off the bat the shoes were in perfect condition. Brand new as described. These shoes looked great, awesome traction. Loved the pull tie laces. Spot on the tongue to tuck the string away, so it doesn’t get in the way. Shoes didn’t even go through a “breaking in phase”. Very happy, would purchase again. I use them mostly for running on gravel trails and just every day use. Great gym shoe too.

Comfortable with great arch support

Love this shoe. Great arch support, good grip on rocks and in dirt, very durable and great colors.

Comfortable, Durable and Stylish

I have owned both the SpeedCross 5 and 6 GTX shoes for about 3 years now. They are very similar in fit and function; the only difference I can notice between the two is the color design. Both shoes are very comfortable for everyday use. I wear them to work and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing them. The only caveat is that I have a 0.5 larger size than what I usually wear, so make sure you order a 0.5 larger size than what you usually wear. They are great for hiking and have excellent traction on smooth/slippery surfaces and even ice. They are a bit heavy for running, and their weight can be noticed after a few miles. I do prefer lighter shoes for long-distance running (more than 5 miles).

I broke them in today on a 6 mile Trail run and got to say they’re amazing..

I've had 4 pairs over the years for az trail running - incredibly comfortable out of box - very durable and grippy on rock - good support, feet never sore even after 20 mile days with light pack load - if only sole were more durable. Sole worn flat on all pairs well before rest of shoe shows signs of serious wear, and I only wear shoe on trail. I'm on small size too - 5'6 145lb.

Go to Trail Shoe

Use: running/hiking mountail trails and crag approaches in Colorado mountains. I have been running in these shoes since the first Speedcross; own 4-5 pairs at any given time. Perfect shoe for normal trail running, but one ups the rest for grip in steep or icy conditions. GTX versions aren't noticeably warmer in summer months. I run in these on trails daily; they do wear down faster if you are running on concrete alot.

Trail Go to Shoe

Used daily in the mountain trails of Colorado. This has been my go to trail shoe for dry, wet, or icy conditions since the 1st Speedcross release. Daily trail shoe or special trail running, single track, and steeps. Handles fine on concrete or streets, but the shoe does wear down faster if you hit a lot of streets. Goretex doesn't add alot of temp variation, good year round.
