Great shoe so far

I enjoyed my shoe for 1 use so far, so take my review with a grain of salt. This is also my first pair of boots that are basically marketed as a hybrid boot watershoe, so there is also that. "Refrain from mentioning competitors" is a really cringe rule, so docking a star just for that. I bought these to go on a trip to the BWCA. My trip was about 16mi and about 1.3mi of portaging. My goal was to avoid bringing both water shoes and boots. So I bought these to serve that purpose. I wore these and some wool socks. I was regularly in shin-deep water, entering and exiting portages. Never did they feel uncomfortable or feel heavy like they were filled with water. My weight alone caused them to dry out while walking on dry land. They were relativly grippy on the wet rocky terain but i felt there was more to be desired. I do have wide feet, so my shoe size felt slightly tight. I also decided to go off their size chart rather then my normal shoe size as i figured their size chart would be more attunde to what you should buy. Do NOT make that mistake, just buy your normal shoe size and you'll be fine. The comfort and durability were great. I felt like I put them through their paces on a first wear; foot pain was the last thing I was worried about at the end of my day, and that's not always the case with a trip like that. They pretty much dry overnight even in wet weather as long as they were covered, Once i got done with my route in i wore them at my campsite for about an hour or 2 changed my socks into a dry pair of what i was currently wearing and they didnt instantly soak my socks so i think thats a pretty strong tell as to how fast they can dry. Overall, I'm happy so far. If they last a long time, then they are the perfect shoe for me, as someone who regularly gets them wet

Great for one day hike and wet terrain

Drys quick, sufficient support for one day trail, and you can fit wet socks comfortably.

Almost perfect wet wading boots

I needed a comfortable and secure boot to hike to and wet wade in small mt. streams. These fit the bill so far and even have room for neoprene wading socks at my normal shoe size. Please Salomon, consider adding a small horizontal loop tab on the tongue where the hook on neoprene wading socks or waders can grab. I am not sure that I trust the thin laces for this purpose.
