Best hiking boots!

Amazing ankle support! I love hiking, but unfortunately my ankles are in bad shape from past injuries. However! Most of the time i can complete my 6-8hrs hikes on difficult terrain thanks to this boots! 100% recommended! I purchased mine maybe three years ago and they still on great condition! This year i have use them at least once a week!

Good shoes bad packaging

Taking a while to break them in. They came dirty out of the box and looked like they had been opened I was able to wash them up but this should not happen with new shoes. Overall think they will be great for hunting.

Super comfortable and supportive

I bought these in June2025. I broke my right ankle and even my air cast walking boot hurt. I put these on and they have a cushion tongue they are high for true ankle support and the insoles are great. The soles have great gripping for any terrain. Love these . I

Breaking in!!!

Had a pair that were over 20 years old! And unfortunately they were in storage and the first day I got them back out! Both soles were dry rotted and came off. I was with a group and were in razors looking at the mines and my sole fell off , so without missing a beat they duck taped me together. But sadly they didn’t make it, so I bought a new pair! Your newest version! I bought my normal size , and I wear small sock with a wool one over that! I am SAR, ( search and rescue k9) so I need a really good boot that can handle the desert and mountains! With no break in needed!!!

Foot feels very stable

I have a pair of Salomon hiking boots that I bought over 10 years ago. They are still good but I’m travelling to the UK in October so I thought I’d buy a new pair. Wore them a few times to use them before long walks. quite confortable, very stable and solid feeling on the ground, very large compared to my old boots but I wear orthotics so it’s a good thing but could feel too loose for some people with a thin foot.Chaffed my ankle on one side, wore thicker socks hopefully that problem will resolve itself with time. real test will be hiking in the Scottish Highlands later this fall..

QUEST ELEMENT GTX WOMEN'S

After wearing this boots for the first time I have blisters on my both legs above the ankle due to roughness of material that is supose to protect the ankles. I asume this will fade in time after wearing couple of times. Overall feeling in the boot is good with the exception of the sole that is thineer compared to my other boots Scarpa that I had for the last 15 years. When the sole is thin you can feel some rough surface when you walk, and for only this reason I would prefer my other boots. I prefer Scarpa over Salomon when it comes to hiking shoes. I have to say that I am an ocasional hiker and I do not hike for months in a raw.

Comfy supportive and grippy

Bought in Oct 2022, loved them... super comfy, supportive, grippy and kept my feet dry through boggy areas. However, now at the end of my second walking holiday (with occasional use at home) and the soles of my feet ache, the soles have worn and no longer feel cushioned and can feel rocks through the sole. Bit disappointed as have previously used salomons due to the comfort and durability.

Great boot, great vomfort

I bought these for my wife, after explaining to her that Salomon’s is what I wore while in the military. She wore them to her job at a “range” that she is an instructor at , and she fell I. Love with the comfort and quality

Great! Waterproof (to a point)! But ouch

I love these boots in every way except how they hurt an inch to 2 inches above my ankle. I don't know what it is...tieing the boots looser helps but doesn't fix the issue. The boots left a red abrasion after a mile hike on very uneven ground (didn't bruise though). I will say, they are waterproof! I walked through low flow rivers (about an inch to 2 inches in depth) without an issue! As far as slipping goes, I've only slipped on a wet log so far (I caught myself). I have gone free bouldering and hiked through mud/rivers. Great experiences! I felt like I had great footholds even with the smooth granite rock. 8/10 would recommend with 2 points taken away for the upper ankle pain. I got an 8.5 and I'm normally an 8. My heels aren't slipping at all but I still have room for warm socks.

Amazing

Love the way these boots feel. Very supportive, grippy soles, generous toe box. I did need to break them in a bit, but it didn't take long. Colors match the photos and I found these to be true to size. 10/10
