Départ 1.0 Ski unlocks freestyle creativity with playful twin tips and all-mountain versatility

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I love how the Départ 1.0 skis bring out the playful side of skiing. The twin tip design and wide steel edge let me go from the park to the backcountry bootpack without missing a beat. They’re snappy, light, and made for creative expression on snow."

Who It’s For

Freestyle Skiers Who Love to Mix It Up:

The Départ 1.0 is designed for skiers who want one setup for park laps, side hits, and creative all-mountain skiing. Ideal for advanced freestyle riders who love flowy tricks, switch skiing, and bringing a playful style into freeride terrain.

What It’s For

Park Progression and Freestyle Exploration Beyond the Park:

With a twin tip shape and FS Park rocker profile, this ski is made for spins, butters, and switch landings. The wider waist and steel edges add stability when venturing off groomers, so it’s equally comfortable boosting in the park or slashing creative lines in soft snow.

Why We Like It

Playfulness Meets Stability:

We like the Départ 1.0 because it’s not just a park ski—it’s a freestyle tool for the whole mountain. The poplar/karuba woodcore makes it light and lively, fiberglass adds snap, and titanal reinforcement ensures control when charging harder. It’s a ski that encourages us to explore the mountain with creativity and style.

Fun, while it lasted.

These skis were great for several days, super fun and playful. Unfortunately it didn’t take long for the core to split under the binding and for the tip to start to split. Hopefully I can give them another chance if the warranty is honest.

Freaky Ah Skis

I am insanely happy with these. Never had more people glaze my skis in the lift line than the 5 times is skied these so far. I mounted them +2 from center as recommended by sleepy himself. They are easy to ski switch, blow through bumps and moguls with ease, and are surprisingly playful on rails. Only downside for park is that they are pretty stiff. But that makes them good for the rest of the mountain. They also turn on a dime for being so wide.

So Fun!!

I got a chance to ski on these very French looking skis the other day. What a hoot! I’m not the person these skis were intended for but I had a great time ripping around on corduroy, bumps and some spring mank. So easy and really worked great on the whole mountain. Carving is so fun! Could really get the ski out from under you! Chopped up crud was great with the big shovel keeping the ski on top and the ski plowed right through it! I’ll be getting a pair of these skis for the upcoming season for sure 👌🏽
