Blackops 98 Skis deliver freestyle-inspired versatility with stability from park to powder

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I loved how the Blackops 98 felt playful in the park but still capable in deeper snow. They pivot easily in trees, land tricks with forgiveness, and carve surprisingly well for a ski this fun. It’s the perfect balance of freestyle energy and freeride confidence."

Who It’s For

Intermediate to Expert Women Freestyle and Freeride Skiers:

Ideal for skiers who want a freestyle-inspired ride that doesn’t stop at the park. The Blackops 98 is approachable for those building skills in mixed terrain and stable enough for advanced riders pushing tricks, cliffs, and creative lines across the mountain.

What It’s For

Freestyle Versatility Across All Terrain:

With a 98mm waist and rocker/camber/rocker profile, this ski is designed to butter, pivot, and float while still holding an edge when needed. From park laps and side hits to soft-snow stashes and tight trees, the Blackops 98 adapts to whatever’s next.

Why We Like It

Playful Energy with All-Mountain Stability:

We like how the Blackops 98 feels fun and surfy without losing control when conditions change. The poplar core balances pop with damping, while the fiberglass laminate adds durability and strength. Combined with a sintered base for speed, it’s a ski that lets us get creative anywhere on the hill.

Fun

Fun on the steeps, deeps, and in between but they rip going straight too when that’s needed.

Blackops

Two hour demo on Mayflower lift at Deer Valley. I had a blast; this ski plowed through the chopped powder, turns were easily initiated and completed. I’m 65, been skiing 50 years. Making it fun still

Good ski

The only thing is the graffic. If I want to see snow I will look up.... I don't love this picture on the ski
