I like these comfy boots. Feel comfy on my feet
The tennis shoe industry is killing my feet. Sneakers nowadays? They are like wearing slippers. So here is what just happened with me!! About two weeks ago I bought size 8.5 in some other boot I remember wearing as a kid, and you know what? I returned them because they have dropped off a quality cliff. I then tried that boot's sister brand but those things were so narrow. I tried a pair of fashion boots that look just like these boots and omg big mistake had to return them. Finally I give up and its "ok, I will just spend the money on these boots." Yeah, you know what? These boots are comfortable. They fit. The leather is nicer than the other three boots I mentioned. The only reason I am giving a four star on quality is this is the first day I have owned these. but I'm not returning them. I'm keeping them. I like them. They are comfy, they seem really nicely made. I love the color, I got the amber ones. Cannot stress how much this Iron Ranger boot feels "comfy" on my feet. Which I find strange given the shoes history is for mining, but whatever, I am not going to overthink that

Damaged within 2 months
Tongue is already getting eaten up by the laces/eyelets. Not a huge deal now but if it's getting this indented already I can't imagine this boot lasting 1 year. Havnt had my boots for long at all and paid full price for em. I purchased a pair of Moc Toes around the same time that are doing the same thing. I want to continue to support Red Wing but cannot do so with this kind of quality. Redwing, please help.

A lightweight and tough boot.
I brought this boot about two years ago and am giving a long-term review. i was a little nervous initially about getting them because everyone told me they were hard to break-in. When I first put them on, I was pleasantly surprised, they fit my foot like a glove...they were perfect. That first week, the leather was a little stiff but no hot spots, only a little stiffness which disappeared after a few days. But what happened a few weeks latter really surprised me. My cat found the boots and started scratching the leather really good. When I found them, one of the toe caps was all scratched up. I was very disappointed, couldn't blame redwing for that. I decided to see if I could minimize the visibility of the damage with a cleaning, conditioning and waxing. I couldn't believe after I finished, you could not tell which boot was scratched by the cat. The scratches disappeared completely. I showed it to a coworker who couldn't tell. The leather was so tough that it resisted any deep penetration of the cat's nails. A little conditioning and polishing removed all traces of the scratches. Right there, I became a redwing fan for life. For a guy with 20 different boots from other high quality boot companies, Redwing Iron Rangers and 875 Moc toes are in my weekly rotation and are amongst my most worn boots.

I can't keep wearing and it's to late to send back
I got these found them to be tight on the sides and I thought maybe they would break in but then I noticed how I could feel the edges of the sole on the arch of my foot when on a motorcycle, ladder or stepping on anything not flat. Isn't comfortable to wear.

Not worth half the money.
I bought these boots a year ago and they're so bad red wing won't even try to fix them. The speed hooks broke off after a few months and the stitching blew after 9 months. These are junk and I'm going to start supporting an American brand that actually stands behind their product. Never buying Red Wing again.

Best Purchase of my Life
I love these boots so much I want to buy a second pair just in case these ever fall apart. I wear them daily. I wear them camping, I wear them on the motorcycle, and they hold up to anything I do in them. I've taken them as my only footwear to Egypt, France, Italy, Puerto Rico.. and i'm gearing up to take them to Japan soon. For as many miles as i've put on these boots, they still look and feel great. Another big plus is my feet don't stink like they did with tennis shoes.

They fit like a glove and the leather ages well.
I have been wearing these for months now and they fit like a glove, should have got size 13, but these are stretching out and looking even better with time. One thing I wish i did from the start was get a 13 D though. That’s not the boots fault at all, it’s my own fault. Love love love the toe cap offering rugged protection and also a somewhat tactical yet defined look. Love my iron rangers overall

Solid boot.
Was curious about the muleskinners. Got em, love the look. Could probably size 1/2 down for summer wear with thin socks. The nickel plated hardware is subpar and often have to replace from a cobbler with higher quality eyelets, but for now they work.

Great boot, but with some flaws
I bought the Iron Ranger after several tries to nail the right size. They run a bit big, for me. The boot is amazing in so many ways. My only complaint is that the rivets used for the open laced portion of the boot (upper three) cut into the leather of the tongue pretty badly. I have only worn them about a dozen times, so I can’t imagine what they will look a year from now.
