Conquer deep days in the Powderverse Pants—insulated, stormproof, and built to ride hard

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I’ve been riding in the Powderverse Pants all season, and they’re solid. The seat insulation helps on cold chairlifts, the thigh vents dump heat fast, and the fit works great with layers. Plus, having a avy-equipment pocket is a huge bonus for sidecountry laps."

Whether we’re chasing first chair or venturing beyond the gates, the Outdoor Research Powderverse Pants are ready for every freeride mission. These insulated snow pants combine rugged 2-layer waterproof fabric with mapped VerticalX Eco insulation in the seat, keeping us warm on frozen lifts without overheating on the descent.

The fit is designed for movement with articulated knees and adjustable waist tabs, while inner gaiters, scuff guards, and water-resistant zippers hold up to deep days and repeated transitions. Outer thigh vents release heat when the sun comes out, and the dedicated pocket keeps backcountry essentials secure and accessible. For riders who blur the line between resort and off-piste, these pants bring the tech and toughness to match.

Product review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After putting in over 30 days on the mountain with a mix of resort laps and backcountry tours, I can confidently say this Outdoor Research ski coat and pants delivered in every condition. From storm days with deep powder to bluebird spring afternoons, the jacket and pants never let me down. The ski coat stood out with its high-quality materials, great breathability for long hikes, and solid warmth in colder temps. One of my favorite details was the wrist sleeves with thumb holes, which kept snow and wind out while adding extra comfort. This was also my first time opting for ski pants instead of bibs, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well they performed. They offered plenty of mobility, stayed in place without issues, and handled everything from deep powder to wet conditions with ease. The fit was spot-on and they proved to be a great alternative to bibs. Outdoor Research nailed it with this setup.
