Customer Images

Here's what customers have to say

The pants are versatile, comfortable, and durable, suitable for various outdoor activities. Customers highlight the breathability, stretch, and weather resistance. While some find the pants true to size, others note they run slightly large. The integrated belt is seen as a positive, though some dislike the plastic buckle. The current version has mixed reviews, with some feeling the new design is a step down, citing the removal of features. However, others still consider the pants excellent for spring and summer backcountry use, with durable yet comfortable material and useful features.

Amazing Pants

Used these pants to hike in CO and they were amazing. Hold up well with hiking in colder weather and also very breathable when temps get a little warmer. Also use them to go out and around town because they still look classy and are very comfortable to relax in. Highly recommend

The Outdoor Research Cirque Pants are fantastic for hiking. They’re very durable and handle rough trails well. They do pill a little over time, but it doesn’t affect performance. The zippers at the bottom are a great feature for tapering over boots, making them super practical. Comfortable, sturdy, and a solid choice for any outdoor adventure.

Comfortable, Stylish, and True to Size – Highly Recommended

I absolutely love these pants. From the moment I put them on, they quickly became one of my favorite wardrobe staples. They’re incredibly comfortable—soft enough to lounge in but structured enough to wear out without feeling underdressed. What really impressed me is how they fit true to size. There was no guesswork or weird sizing; they fit just right in all the right places, which is hard to find sometimes. Another great feature is their appearance. While they feel as cozy as sweatpants, they definitely don’t look like them at first glance. They have a clean, tailored look that makes them versatile enough to wear to casual outings, run errands, or even to a relaxed workplace setting. I’ve had a few people ask where I got them, which speaks to their subtle but stylish appeal. These pants strike a perfect balance between comfort and appearance, making them a fantastic choice for anyone looking for something functional yet presentable. Whether you're lounging at home or stepping out, they perform well in both scenarios. Overall, I highly recommend these. They’re a solid choice if you're after comfort without sacrificing style. I’m already thinking about getting another pair in a different color.

Horrid piling (aka micro plastic shedding)

Horrible durability. I bought these and climbed in them for ONE weekend and they piled so horribly that they now look trashed. Too bad OR didn’t do their material homework on these, otherwise they’d be good.

Best travel pant

These are great for active travel. I used one pair for a three week trip through Spain and they were perfect.

Quality construction, but cut has changed over time

OR pants seem to be getting cut to be very slim fitting through the leg and seat compared to previous years. I love their older versions but these fit like hipster jeans.

Belt only tightens on one side???

There's a piece of elastic at the center of the belt that seems to be sewed into the waistband at the back. Only the right side of the belt is adjustable, so if you need to tighten the belt a lot, it will bunch up on the right side and the buckle will shift over to the right. Why, OR design team??? I almost couldn't believe they were designed this way, but we looked at a few pairs in the retail store and they all had this "feature". Seemed like nice pants otherwise.

Cirque Lite...lots to like some things not so much

The fit is great...very comfortable. But they wear fast. Pilling us a problem.

Great all weather adventure pants

I can't speak more highly of both these pants and the jacket. Both stretchy and comfortable, and also breathable. Don't feel like I'm wearing a plastic poncho at all. And they kept me totally dry all day hiking in Peru during the rainy season.
