Here's what customers have to say
The sleeping pad is praised for its exceptional comfort and support, especially for side sleepers. Reviewers highlight its thoughtful design features like a slight head rise, 3D body mapping, and a tapered shape that keeps users centered. It is described as incredibly comfortable, providing excellent cushioning and warmth even in cold temperatures. Many note it is the most comfortable sleeping pad they have used, allowing sound sleep without any hip or back pain. The included pump sack makes inflation easy, and the pad packs down surprisingly small for its level of comfort. While it may be heavier than some options, most agree the trade-off in weight is worth the superior sleep quality.

Excellent Night Sleep Under the Stars
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Wide/Long
The NEMO Quasar 3D Insulated Sleeping Pad is a great choice for anyone who wants a good night’s sleep outdoors. It’s comfortable, light, and well-made, with a few small downsides to keep in mind. Comfort and Size This sleeping pad is just the right size for most people. Even for someone weighing up to 240 pounds, it stays firm and supportive all night without going flat. The 3D shape makes it feel more like a real bed than many other camping pads, which is especially nice if you sleep on your side or move around during the night. The insulation helps keep you warm when the ground is cold, making it great for camping in spring, summer, and fall. Design and Ease of Use One of the best parts of this pad is the valve system. It’s easy to inflate and deflate, and it holds air really well. You don’t have to worry about it slowly leaking overnight. It’s also very light, so it doesn’t add much weight to your backpack. You can pack it down small, which is perfect for long hikes. Price and Pump Bag The biggest downside is the price—it’s more expensive than many other sleeping pads. While the included Pump Bag works fine and saves you from blowing it up by mouth, it feels a little gimmicky. Still, if you’re into ultralight backpacking, you might find it useful. Overall, the NEMO Quasar 3D Insulated Sleeping Pad is comfortable, easy to use, and great for backpacking trips. If you’re willing to spend a bit more, it’s a pad you can count on for many nights outdoors.

Quasar 3d insulated double mattress
Super comfortable mattress. Easy inflation and deflation. Seems tough so far. Withstood a toddler jumping on it. Packs down quite small and comes with a nice packing back and a patch kit. Overall great mattress. 10/10 would recommend.

My New Go-To Sleeping Pad
I absolutely love this sleeping pad! It’s the most comfortable pad I’ve used considering the size and weight—plush, supportive, and impressively quiet. The slight head rise provides great support, even without a pillow. As a side sleeper, I appreciate the balance of firmness and cushion. Setup is quick with the Vortex pump sack, and it packs down surprisingly small for how comfortable it is. I haven’t had a chance to test it in cold weather yet, but for mild nights it’s been perfect. You can tell NEMO put real thought into the design. This pad has become my go-to for all my camping trips, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort without sacrificing packability.

The most comfortable sleeping pad I've ever slept on. For the first time ever, I woke up with no hip or back pain after spending the night in a tent. Would give it six stars if I could.

Great pad!
Bought this recently and very happy with the purchase. I had the Big Agnes Rapid SE, but this was more comfortable!

Best of the best! No doubt!
This pad is fantastic! The vortex bag makes inflation a breeze, and letting the air out is even easier. Packing it back to its factory roll size is super simple. It’s comfy, warm, and overall, I couldn’t be happier!

Quasar 3D lightweight long Wide
I am a big fan. Comfortable for side sleeping and on the back. Keeps the cold from creeping up under you. I have this paired with the men's disco 15 Fahrenheit long bag and it the dream set up. Just need a nemo tent for the full set up. In the midst of going full nemo.

Favorite pad
I got this pad a couple years ago and have used on a few 4-5 night backpacking trips as well as at the airport for long layovers on international travel and a handful of nights house camping at a packed boy's weekend house. To start with, and most enjoyable for me, is the comfort level. I don't usually sleep great on trail. I've loved the Nemo Tensor for its super light weight and ultra packability, but as a side sleeper (Nemo kills it at the side sleeper game) the Quasar's extra thickness is perfect for me and worth the little extra weight. I love that I can let a good amount of air out of the pad without bottoming out on the ground, and achieve nearly mattress level sleep quality. I also love that this pad is bullet proof and I don't fear punctures at night as much on the trail if I haven't cleared the ground properly. Hard to beat this pad, if you don't mind carrying a few extra ounces.
