I wanted to give it 5 stars
Really awesome pack except the back panel is not on par with the rest of the pack. Any misplaced gear pokes through the back panel. The problem is mitigated if there is a flat support surface like a laptop or tablet. It's also not ventilated that well. MH gear quality is really top notch. I just can't figure why they designed the pack with such a lackluster back panel. A back panel like their field day pack would've paired well. All the good things: side bottle holders secure standard nalgene size, excellent zippers, flexible gear lashing options, lightweight, comfortable shoulder straps, spacious should strap pockets. The shoulder straps are the highlight for me, they are so comfortable I have not even tried to use the hip belt. It's a nice touch to have a removable hip belt. small nit pick: I think an 18L size would've been better suited for this type of pack. I can see 20L getting a bit heavy, and anyone interested in this type of pack is already thinking of fast & light expeditions so an 18L would've worked I think.

Excellent do everything active-professional backpack
Top tier do everything bag. I travel a decent amount for work, so it's nice to have a bag thats a good personal item size. I can put my 40L in the overhead, and this at my feet. It fits my 14" macbook, water bottle, jacket/change of clothes and toiletries with no issue. Then, on weekends, I can empty it out and have a great backpack to check out a trail to scramble up, wherever I might be. It also packs super flat if I just want to put it in the bottom of my checked bag for a trip. Even when I'm at home, its awesome for biking to work or if I want to bring my running clothes to work and run home at the end of the day. The bungee works great, and the water bottle pockets are an awesome size. I really like the front pockets too, though I wish the zipped ones were a bit smaller (just big enough for an iphone pro max or similar smartphone), with the additional space on the strap taken up by an easy accessible bungee pouch. My black diamond distance 15l does this well.

versatile day / scrambling pack
I bought this as a day pack / scrambling pack, and have replaced a smaller 11L and larger 22L with this one pack. The harness is stiff but comfortable and supportive. The chest pockets are quite large, which I like. The bungee system is configurable and allows me to retrieve and stash my poles while keeping the pack on, and while on the move. Seems like it'll do the job well!

Great design for in-between a trail vest and traditional day pack
It's a great pack that's in between a trail vest and a traditional day-pack. It's got plenty of space in the main pack so you don't have to count ounces. The compression system can be adjusted while on (just takes some practice) and hydration flask holder in the front keep me moving.

Great fit
I love this backpack! I wore it for my first hike yesterday and it fit great. Was very comfortable for my 6 mile, 3k ft elevation hike. My 1L Nalgene bottle fit perfectly in the side pockets. The strap packets were great for easy access to cell phone and sunglasses. Easy to adjust straps to get it comfortable.

Awesome for Fastpacking and Overnight Adventures
I've used this pack for several multi-day adventures including setting a Fastest Known Time on the Kungsleden trail in Sweden! It is the perfect overnight pack, just big enough for the essentials. I love the meshy pockets on the shoulder straps- I use them to hold my phone, food, and chapstick. It's easy to throw a water bladder in the large back pocket, or carry large bottle in either/both side pockets. This pack is simplicity at its finest (and fastest)!
