Why We Like The Mammut Stoney HS Pant
Mammut redesigned its best-selling Stoney HS Pant to better serve powder hounds in their pursuit of unspoiled stashes hidden in back bowls and dense forests. The reliable 3-layer DRY Tour membrane keeps wet snow from sending us back to the lodge early in the day while allowing excess heat to escape and blocking frigid blasts of wind. The stretchy material allows us to move naturally on our skis, giving us the freedom to ski our hardest down steep couloirs and on side-country slopes.

Solid Pants, Shoddy Design
Really wanted to leave a positive review of these pants because they look great and felt good, but within 2 wears the side cinches had broken completely. Now, it's very difficult to cinch own the waist to the size I need so that the pants don't fall own while skiing. I was very disappointed and asked to repair the existing pair or a new pair, but they said I needed to send the existing pair back to them which would have been super expensive. Would love to update this to a better review if Mammut reaches out to help address the quality issue.

Excellent versatility. Comfortable to wear without layers underneath. Warm enough without thick layers. Roomy enough for the cold days to wear layers without becoming excessively bulky.

Excellent shell
These are outstanding pants, very comfortable and kept me warm during a windy snow outing.

Great pants
Good 3L ski shell. Some stretch to them, good waterproof in few storms (both rain and snow). Warm when properly layered. Vents dump heat fast. Been handling day to day patrolling with no issues. Only complaint would be no belt loops, but the Velcro adjusts and holds well. Just used to belt loops to clip gloves to.
