Haldigrat HS Bib Pant with Mammut DRYtechnology Pro waterproofing
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I like the Haldigrat HS Bib Pant because it’s built for versatility. The 3-layer shell keeps me dry, the long side vents dump heat fast on the skintrack, and the removable bib lets me customize fit and function. They’re light enough for touring but still bomber for resort laps."
Named after Switzerland’s iconic Haldigrat ridge, the Mammut Haldigrat HS Bib Pant is made for skiers who split their time between big backcountry missions and resort powder days. The 3-layer Mammut DRYtechnology Pro shell delivers 20K waterproofing and breathability, shielding against storm cycles while allowing airflow to keep you comfortable during high-output ascents. Fully sealed seams and a tough 40-denier face fabric ensure durable weather protection without adding unnecessary weight.
These bibs are tailored for freeride mobility with a relaxed cut and articulated design. A removable elastic bib offers snow-blocking coverage on deep days and strips down for a lighter fit when you want simplicity. Side vents open wide for airflow during bootpacks, while snap button cuff adjustments accommodate both ski boots and crampons. With water-repellent storage pockets, an adjustable waist, and a jacket-to-pant snap system, the Haldigrat HS Bib Pant is a versatile option for dedicated skiers who demand performance in and out of bounds.

Great
Lightweight and comfortable. They are simple, yet high performing. The fit is good on me at 6', 168 lbs, 32" inseam. I bought the 32" normal. I've really enjoyed my Mammut products so far.

Favorite ski tour pants
Got these for ski touring and wow they did great. Durable material, lightweight, good pockets and vents. Highly recommend to anyone touring or going skiing in bounds. These are what I ski in 100% of the time.

Versatile Ski Bib
This ski bib has been great. I have used it for 15+ days now and really enjoy them. I’ve seen some comments around sizing and I’d say these are a bit baggier (around the legs) than a typical Mammut bib, but still size up if you want a little more room. I sized up to a 32 waist (normally a 30 waist) and fit perfectly. One downside is that they are not meant to be used on cold days (below 15 degrees F) in resort as you’ll get cold if you don’t layer under the bibs. In the backcountry, totally fine for colder weather and the pockets are the perfect sizes that fit everything I need (i.e. phone and beacon).

Just not resistant enough
This material is too thin for anything but the most strenuous skinning in somewhat warm weather. I live in a ski town and skied about 35 days this year and even in warmer conditions this material just does not block wind. I would not recommend for anything except backcountry use. On a hut trip these are good light and have well thought out storage and pocket for transceiver.

Excellent ski pant
Bought these for resort skiing and touring. The fit is excellent and temperature control is solid with generous zipper vents on the sides. I've skied in thigh deep powder without any snow intrusion. Fits well over a ski boot. Wouldn't climb in them since the bottom is baggier and I'd catch a crampon. Noticed they're not as waterproof as other pants I've owned. I'm unconcerned for my needs, but figured worth a callout to those with that consideration.

Top tier bibs
Mammut puts a ton of thought into their designs. This bibs are incredibly comfortable but also have some fundamental features for backcountry travel. The torso and right thigh pockets both have integrated lanyards for attaching your beacon. Mammut pants do fit a bit tight though so order a size up. I'm 6'4", 230 lbs. I normally wear 35x34 pants but ordered the size 38 bibs so I'd have room for mid layer pants underneath. I've worn them with and without midlayer pants and they fit great either way

I'm going to buy another of these as backup. They're the perfect bib for skinning and resort days.

Comfortable, light and trim
Love these pants, the only feedback is that the top section is not water proof but water resistant. Honestly probably fine, and helps with comfort of the pants, but partially defeates the purpose of a bib. Its design is to be snug. Again makes it comfortable but will compress a down mid layer if worn underneath

Almost a perfect hardshell bib
I love the weight and material of the pants. I found they performed well. Nice fit a d feature set. The elastic cuffs however failed within a few uses and there is no way to cinch it down. Will probably have to add a snap. Not sure what material they used in the elastic or if my pair was defective but it's horrible.

Perfect bibs for backcountry or resort
I've used these bibs now for about 20 days both in the backcountry and at the resort. They work great for any situation. They have the mobility to make kick turns while skinning or take high steps while boot packing and have enough room to layer underneath when it is cold. The vents are large and allow a good amount of air in while working hard. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for non-insulated bibs.
