Skate Banana brings playful freestyle fun with rocker float, edge hold, and all-terrain versatility
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The Skate Banana is the board I recommend to anyone who wants a fun, forgiving ride that still performs everywhere. The rocker profile makes it feel catch-free and buttery, but Magne-Traction edges dig in when conditions get sketchy. It’s playful enough for park laps but still holds its own in powder and on icy groomers."
Who It’s For
Beginner to Advanced Freestyle Riders:
This board is for anyone who wants a confidence-building ride with plenty of progression potential. Beginners love its forgiving rocker and easy turning, while advanced riders enjoy its playful flex and stability for park, powder, and all-mountain fun.
What It’s For
Freestyle Play Across All Terrain:
The Skate Banana thrives in the park and on side hits but also transitions easily to powder stashes and groomer laps. Its rocker-dominant profile and twin shape make it a do-it-all board for riders who like to mix freestyle creativity with all-mountain versatility.
Why We Like It
Forgiving, Fun, and Versatile:
We like the Skate Banana because it makes every day on the hill fun, no matter the conditions. The rocker-camber blend feels surfy and catch-free, while Magne-Traction edges grip confidently on hardpack. Its medium flex and lightweight wood core balance playful presses with reliable response, making it one of the most versatile twins on the market.

- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer

- 152
So I've ridden this board many times since I bought it and if you've never ridden with magne-traction, it is quite awesome how well it holds on bad snow. Lib tech is pretty famous for bomb proof boards so if you like to take your board all over in the trees or mob the park, this board will hold up beautifully even if you knick it on a tree or box. Loads of people grab the 154, 156 size to help float in the powder but I found the 152 to serve quite well in deep that didn't get past the knee. I would size up to the 154 if I expected to ride it in more fluff than fifteen inches tho. This board is super flexy and since it has no carbon fiber, holding a press or butter is much more effortless than if you've ever tried the former. This board is so playful and fun, I love trying new things on it I feel like it's impossible to catch edge at times. If you're on the fence about the skate nana, it's a fun, flexible, playful, and easy board to ride. It has a lot of pop despite the lacking carbon fiber too, I have carbon fiber in my other board and the difference in pop between them is small. This board is great, really great. You could spend an extra $100 bucks for other boards and still not get as much as you can with the nana. Skate bananas are great for beginners and experts alike, they're very forgiving and will help you learn quickly. A great board to grow with!
