Why We Like The Garmin fenix 8 AMOLED Sapphire Sport Watch

Whatever plateau we're breaking through, Garmin's fenix 8 AMOLED Sapphire Sport Watch is tracking and driving our every step. The bomber, submersible construction meets the moxie required for rugged terrain and technical pursuits, while the heart rate, ECG, and blood oxygen saturation metrics clue us in to how our body is handling the demands. With 145 hours of juice in max battery GPS mode, this watch outlasts the sun time and time again, while the built-in LED flashlight comes to save the day when our headlamp flickers out. However deep into the backcountry we go, the SatIQ tech keeps our position locked in without draining the battery.

All Around Great Watch

I’ve had the Fenix 8 for about a month. I had a Garmin Instinct 2 solar before and decided to upgrade and get the Fenix. It has been worth it. It maps extremely well on outdoor runs and tracks everything you could possibly need. The amount of features this watch has is amazing. I’ve used it on walks, runs, treadmill runs, hiking, and hunting and it has worked perfectly. Of course with Garmin, the battery life has been great. I definitely recommend this watch.

Great overall sports smart watch

I bought my Fenix 8 AMOLED Saphire about one month ago and love it. The amount of data it provides is really great. It takes a bit longer to set everything up as liked (Apple Watches are a bit easier to get that accomplished), but once you are done everything is easy. Love the longer lasting battery (my average is about 10 days) that supports training, reading and reviewing data. The silicone bands are light and feel great too. Thumbs up and a definite buy recommendation from me !!

Fun Watch!

Upgraded from a Fenix 7 and my 70 year old eyes appreciate the Amoled display. I may not use all the features available to me...but I track a lot of my activities and appreciate the health monitoring insights.

Super Integration with Garmin and Phone Systems

I upgraded from my Garmin Fenix 5+ to the Fenix 8, 51mm Amoled display. It's great. I am very happy with the new capabilities and easy integration with my Garmin bike computer and phone. Happy camper here!

What a beauty!

The new watch finally answers phones and has a speaker! What a fabulous feature when you don’t have a phone near by. The screen has large font if needed so I can read all of my text messages and the ecg aspect is fun. I love all of the information on sleep it provides also and only charging a watch once a week is very convenient.

The battery life and features are top notch!

My fenix 8 connects with my Shokz headphones and announces my average running pace for each mile! My Fenix 8 also allows me to speak and answer calls during runs(without digging into my running pocket for my smart phone). Of course, I love the handy built in flashlight and beautiful screen. I can increase the font size for the watch face so no squinting to checkout fitness stats! It’s worth the investment!!

Pro:Screen readability Con:Golf Course not loading

This 51mm AMOLED Fenix 8 Pro screen is awesome! I've enjoyed the readability in all light conditions, and the functions are intuitive to navigate. My only gripe is that the golf courses (any of the three local courses I live near) will not load onto the watch. I have loaded the courses onto my phone thru the Garmin Connect app and when I go to open the golf function on the watch the watch screen reads "No Nearby Courses". I've tried loading the courses while standing on the first tee box of each of the courses so It's not a GPS or distance issue for sure.

Great watch

I bought this a month ago and have loved the features. I had a venu 2plus and really had no complaints about that just wanted a newer model.
