Faction La Machine Mini Ski blends lightweight touring efficiency with versatile downhill confidence
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The La Machine Mini has been my go-to touring ski for missions where conditions are unpredictable. At 99mm underfoot, it’s light enough for big vertical days but still wide enough to float when I stumble into soft snow. I love the rocker-flat-rocker profile—it makes jump turns and kick turns feel easy while still keeping enough edge grip for icy traverses."
Who It’s For
Touring Skiers Seeking a Versatile Daily Driver:
Perfect for intermediate to expert backcountry skiers who want one touring ski to handle it all. The La Machine Mini balances weight savings with all-conditions versatility, making it ideal for longer days, mixed snowpacks, and remote objectives.
What It’s For
Backcountry Touring in Varied Conditions:
With a 99mm waist, lightweight paulownia core, and full carbon laminate, the La Machine Mini thrives in long tours where snow conditions can shift by the hour. The rocker-flat-rocker profile keeps it nimble for jump turns and quick pivots, while still offering enough float for storm days and stability for refrozen mornings.
Why We Like It
Efficiency, Versatility, and Stability Together:
We like the La Machine Mini because it finds the sweet spot between ultralight skimo sticks and fat powder touring skis. It’s light enough to move efficiently uphill, yet confidence-inspiring when the line gets steep or the snow turns funky. The carbon weave adds strength and damping, while the micro-cap construction boosts durability for season-after-season reliability.
