Faction Agent 3X Ski delivers backcountry touring balance—float, control, and stability in one

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"The Agent 3X is my choice for long winter tours when I want one ski that can handle everything. The 106mm waist feels wide enough for powder days but not too heavy on the skin track. I love how the rocker-camber-rocker profile makes it both forgiving in variable snow and powerful when I really drive it. It’s light enough for the climb yet inspires confidence on the descent."

Who It’s For

Backcountry Skiers Seeking Versatility and Reliability:

Designed for skiers who want a touring ski that doesn’t compromise on downhill performance, the Agent 3X is perfect for intermediate to expert backcountry riders who chase powder turns, explore mixed terrain, and need a ski that holds up across long seasons of touring.

What It’s For

All-Conditions Touring and Mid-Winter Versatility:

With a 106mm waist, camber underfoot, and rocker in both tip and tail, the Agent 3X thrives in deep powder, wind-buffed faces, and variable tree skiing. Its lightweight construction makes climbing efficient, while carbon and titanal reinforcement ensure stability and power for committed descents.

Why We Like It

Touring Efficiency Meets Downhill Strength:

We like the Agent 3X for how it balances uphill weight savings with downhill confidence. The Karuba wood core keeps things light and responsive, while carbon and fiberglass laminates add torsional strength. Titanal underfoot boosts binding security, and the flat tail finishes turns with authority. It’s a ski that makes no compromises between the skin track and the descent.

Fantastic Touring Skis

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I'll confess, I board more often than I ski, but these puppies float very well! Any wider and you'd have issue turning and skinning, but these are the perfect balance of float, but still quite light and maneuverable even in spite of me getting a longer length. The skins that I got with them could have had slightly more bite and stickiness, but the skis themselves are rad. I also tested them inbounds and they work well on almost all terrain. They work best, logically, in those favorite powder stashes and keep speed very well.
