Returned

The right strap was 2-3 inches longer than the left strap.

Best. Footwear. Ever.

Best footwear of my life. Hiking, cycling, cross-country marathon training, tree climbing, scuba diving, hammock napping, or just another day of being alive. My Chaco sandals have proven themselves over and over as indispensable gear.

Blisters

It does what it is advertised to do but the sole is very very heavy which should help in longevity but the larger issue is the blisters. Theses caused 3 bad blisters on each foot after just 2 days of wear, so much so I had to take them off at the first chance I got each day on a rafting trip. Without the blisters it’s a good product but with them it was a regrettable purchase.

Why do other companies even make sandals?

These are the best sandals ever created. The strap design lets me easily put them on/off, just as quickly as flip flops, but they never fall off. Whether I’m walking, hiking, wading in a river, climbing, or even sprinting, they are my preferred shoe choice. My last pair lasted me almost 10 years, unlike Velcro styles which wear out much faster. I look forward to wearing these for many summers.

Most Comfy Sandal Ever

This is my 3rd pair of Z’s in 15 years. Nothing wrong with the other pairs, just wanted a new pair as my 15 year old pair has become my “mowing sandals”. I basically wear chacos daily! I love the Z1 Classics

classic for a reason

I've had several pairs of chacos now including the Z classics and rapid pros and have been hiking and using them for daily use for years. They are still the only sandals I've owned that never give me blisters, not even after 10+ miles. I prefer the classics of the rapid pros; the latter has the two parts of the sole glued and this glue failed on a hot hike after owning them for a couple of years. The classics have the sturdiest design and last for years even with intense use. The Chaco sole material also has more grip than the Vibram sole, although it's still quite slippery on wet metal surfaces (watch out for manhole covers in the rain..). Basically, I hope they don't change the classic design ever. The only downside is that they do get stinky at times, but that can be fixed by throwing them in the washing machine.
