Tourist Snowboard Boot built for splitboarding performance and all-day comfort
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve taken the Tourist out on long tours, and it really shines on the skin track. The negative flex makes striding easier, and the Vibram sole grips even the iciest approaches. At the same time, the boot rides stiff and responsive when it’s time to descend, so I don’t feel like I’m compromising on performance."
When our days start before dawn and end long after sunset, the Burton Tourist Snowboard Boot keeps us moving comfortably and confidently in the backcountry. Designed with splitboarding in mind, it features extra reverse flex for a natural stride while skinning, plus Speed Zone lacing that lets us adjust upper and lower zones separately for a locked-in fit. Shrinkage tech keeps the footprint smaller, helping reduce toe and heel drag on narrower boards.
The boot’s ride-ready support comes from a medium-stiff flex paired with a responsive EST-optimized midsole that’s cushioned by B3 gel and ReBounce for shock absorption on the descent. Inside, the Life Liner with DryRide Heat Cycle technology captures body heat and manages moisture for lasting comfort, while the thermo-moldable design lets us customize the fit. Underfoot, a Vibram EcoStep outsole with Ice Spikes ensures traction on slick bootpacks and technical approaches, giving us confidence from the first step on the trail to the last turn of the day.

I bought these for Touring and haven't even used them for that purpose yet; instead I was going to break in at the resort and found this was a great resort boot! Very responsive, low profile, comfortable and great heel-hold...everything I could want. As for the negative flex, the highback negates that, so I notice zero drawback there. With the low profile of these boots and my big-ish feet, I worry less about overhang. Huge plus! FWIW, I wear a 10 or 10.5 in street shoes, and the 10 fits me great...snug with big toe just barely kissing the end of the boot.
