Confident strides with Pursuit Trekking Poles—adjustable stability, cork comfort, trail ready

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I switched to the Pursuit Trekking Poles for long, mixed-terrain days. The FlickLock+ cams won’t creep, the natural cork grips stay comfy when my hands get sweaty, and the foam extensions help when sidehilling. I love the interchangeable carbide tips and that it ships with both trekking and powder baskets—ready for four seasons."

We grab the Pursuit Trekking Poles when hikes turn steep, rocky, and long. The ergonomic cork grips reduce hot spots as miles stack up, while plush Solution 2.0 straps take pressure off our wrists on big elevation days. With quick-adjust FlickLock+ levers, we fine-tune length for climbs, traverses, and descents without breaking stride.

Built from durable 7000-series aluminum, these poles balance low weight with the stiffness we want under load. A Bloom foam choke adds secure control on scrambles, the 4-season Flex tip accepts interchangeable carbide tips, and included trekking and powder baskets keep us moving from summer ridgelines to winter approaches.

My new poles

Just finished a multi day 40 mile backpacking trip in the sierras . As the trip leader I carried a heavier pack than usual, the poles were a great addition the varied terrain. The cork handles and ease of adjusting the length I easily negotiated the dusty trails to granite “stairs”. The other attribute was the red color, no losing these in the foliage of the forest.

I have never used poles before I purchased these. They are nice and light. A real game changer for hiking.

Pursuit is better

I had the FLZ poles before. Although, they were light and more packable (fold), they were more fragile and broke. The pursuit is still pretty light and collapses down to a decent size. It feels more rugged and the light sage color is really cool.

Great poles

My old Trail Pro poles finally gave up the ghost, after 25 years, so I got a pair of Pursuit Cork. Love them. Thank you Black Diamond, for not getting cute with 'updated' designs or fads.

treking poles

I have been using treking poles since the 1980's. I have used several brands of poles, but love my Black Diamond the most and have just replaced my old ones because I lost one. I love the ease of adjusting them, of changing the baskets, and the sturdiness of them on all terrain. I also love the fact that I can take them apart and pack them in my suitcase for traveling by air to distant hikes

Failed

My husband purchased these poles for our son for Christmas. During the first use during our vacation, the set screw fell out early in the trek. My husband just contacted Black Diamond and was given purchase information. Considering the expense of the poles and reputation of the company, I believe the $. 99 screw should have been sent -no charge/hassle. RM Ramsey

BD Pursuit Trekking poles.

I recently needed to replace my current poles after I damaged one of them on a search and rescue mission. The Pursuit poles have been an amazing upgrade in gear. The locking mechanism seems to be bullet proof and I am no longer concerned with the pole collapsing when I put my weight on it. The grips give me great versatility to manage the steep terrain in my "neck of the woods". I have been well satisfied with BD gear in the past and continue to be a fan.

Like 'em so far

I've only done 3 hikes with these so far but they seem like they're going to work for me.
