Lightweight and Comfy.
Poles are sturdy but so lightweight. Certainly provide stability in my many miles of trail running in Colorado. The wrist straps are really comfortable and soft.

Distance Carbon FLZ Poles
Took my new Distance Carbon FLZ Poles on a maiden voyage to hike the Tour DuMont Blanc Trail. Hiked up and down many times on every terrain from technical to flat and they worked great without a single set back. Loved that they fold down so compact that they fit into every compartment of my backpack easily and weigh next to nothing. I had no arm or hand fatigue with high elevation and steep inclines and great support on the declines. Love them đź’Ż

Super light weight!
When I unpacked them and set them up I could not believe how light weight these were. Super comfortable, hardly knew I was using them. They got a workout for sure , 6 days of trekking in Yosemite. My fellow hikers were a little jealous to say the least

Love love love these poles
I had noticed recently that my arms were getting somewhat sore and tired hiking with trekking poles and I had heard about these ultra lightweight poles. I bought the lightest ones I could find and cannot be more pleased. They are absolutely amazing. I barely notice them when I’m using them except for they give me great support. I also love the fact that they collapse very short so I can fit them in a small suitcase when I travel.

I love my tracking poles.
I love my tracking poles. I walk with them every day and this gives me my form mobility without a risk of falling. The only problem I’ve ever had with them are the tips were so very difficult to find a search Denmark in the United States. My son-in-law finally found them for me. Otherwise they’re great.

Waste of Money & Poor Customer Service
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Weight:
- 175
Avid hiker and trail runner here in Quito, and was excited to upgrade to some more lightweight poles. One pole broke less than 3 weeks after purchase (see photos), and the other than broke a few weeks later. Both failures related to poor epoxy on the cap and then the cap itself on the other seeming to fracture. Could see this clearly when taking apart. End result was the poles lost almost an entire segment / length of height and would shift widely on use (somewhat dangerous). In addition to this, when utilizing on Cotopaxi and other alpine climbs, the poles routinely would stick into snow and come apart - just not what I would expect from BD. My other poles from BD are 10+ years old and perform better (despite having a few extra grams). Black Diamond refused to replace them outright, but did offer to repair them. Took weeks to proceed this and will get the repaired poles back in about a month. For the price of these poles, not convinced this is right approach - this type of failure on both poles is total unacceptable. Would recommend looking for other competitor poles here - just feeling like BD quality and customer service going down hill.

Light and Compact
I don't particularly care for trekking poles and mostly opt not to use them, but occasionally find them helpful to have for routes that are steep and loose, or where a little ice/snow may be encountered. As they mostly stay on my pack, I wanted something light and compact, and these fit the bill. They seem to work well as trekking poles, although, I don't have much experience with other poles to compare them against. Nevertheless, they feel comfortable in hand, the height adjustment is handy, and they don't seem to be particularly jarring on rock. I'm happy with them.

Nice upgrade form my aluminum z-poles
I still use my old aluminum z-poles for wading strong current fly fishing but the new light weight upgrade for backpacking is great. I ordered the 110-125 size, I am 6'. I often set them at 115cm. Just completed several days in the Sawtooth's with a full pack, the poles were light weight, easy to deploy and store, nice grip and strap. Glad I finally upgraded, worth it.
