Bent Chetler 120 Ski delivers legendary float, balance, and playfulness for deep powder expression
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The Bent Chetler 120 has always been my go-to for deep powder days, and the latest evolution makes it even better. The updated HRZN 3D tip and tail provide ridiculous float, while the poplar Light Woodcore keeps it lively and responsive. I love how it stays surfy and playful but still grips when I need it to. Plus, the lower-impact design is a great step forward. Whether I’m slashing pillows or sending backcountry booters, this ski always delivers."
Who It’s For
Advanced to Expert Powder and Freeride Skiers:
This ski is for riders who thrive in deep snow and want a playful yet capable tool for creative freeride lines. Confident skiers who chase storm days, big backcountry lines, or natural features will appreciate its float, surfy feel, and dependable grip when conditions get variable.
What It’s For
Powder, Backcountry, and Creative Freeride Lines:
With a 120mm waist, HRZN 3D tip and tail, and Powder Rocker profile, this ski is purpose-built for bottomless days, steep spines, and pillow fields. It shines in deep snow, playful terrain, and technical freeride lines where balance and surf-style maneuverability matter most.
Why We Like It
Surfy Float Meets Strength and Sustainability:
We like the Bent Chetler 120 because it combines iconic powder play with updated strength and eco-conscious design. The new poplar Light Woodcore keeps the ski balanced and lively, while the ash reinforcement band adds durability. Paired with HRZN 3D shaping for extra float and Atomic’s lower-impact build, it’s a ski that feels powerful, playful, and more responsible all at once.

Still the best!
Bought in February, the new model is a bit more stable at speed. Still my favorite ski, hands down!
