What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve been wearing the GEL-Trabuco 13s on mixed trails, from gravel paths to rocky climbs, and they’re dialed. The midsole cushioning is super responsive without sacrificing ground feel, and the outsole gives me confidence on technical descents."
When we’re pushing into unknown terrain or linking up long days on the trail, the ASICS GEL-Trabuco 13 is the kind of shoe that keeps our stride confident and protected. Engineered for neutral runners and underpronators, this trail-ready performer blends reliable cushioning with rugged traction for comfort that doesn’t quit, even when the terrain does.
ASICS equips the GEL-Trabuco 13 with a responsive midsole, rearfoot GEL technology for shock absorption, and a rock plate to shield against jagged terrain. The multidirectional lug outsole grips confidently on steep inclines and loose surfaces, while the breathable upper keeps feet cool and dry from the first mile to the last. Whether it’s a gravel loop or alpine scramble, we trust the GEL-Trabuco 13 to carry us through.

Trabuco 13
Shoes are very comfortable. I would give a 5/5 if exterior held up better

Color Misrepresentation
The pictures show that it's a red/orange kind of color. In fact, it's just orange with no hint of red at all as the photos show.

I expected more
The top part breaks very quickly. It didn't last two months. See case 03963993

Not happy with my Gel Trabucco 13 shoes
The shoes run wide. I bought standard width and shoes feel loose all the way through the heels. I will return shoes and seriously thinking of not purchasing more ASICS Shoes.

Not for narrow feet
The sole is cushy and very grippy, but the laces and wide footbed make it impossible to get a secure fit if you have narrow feet. Especially on more technical trails, my feet slosh around uncontrollably.

well balanced
comofortable and with the right balance of rigidity for trail support and bounce for the run

Midsole needs resuscitation
2 runs and I’m going to have to relegate these to hiking only. The midsole is absolutely “dead”. No energy whatsoever. As if this version of FlyteFoam Blast+ has been de-tuned drastically. My feet and joints hurt from running in this shoe. Give this midsole some life and you have a really good shoe.

The Best Trail Runner for ASICS Lovers
Love this shoe! I just got back from a week in the Sierras where I ran lots of miles including Whitney and Half Dome. The shoe is great in comfort and grip, did well on roots and granite. But... already showing too much wear on the toe above the sole. Some other shoes protect this with rubber and ASICS should too. I still love my Hoka Speedgoat 5's, but I'll be running Pikes Peak Marathon in these. (they run about a 1/4 size large).

Great first trail shoes
Maybe it is just my inexperience with trail shoes, but it does feel like more cushion could be used. However, I only feel that when running on crushed limestone or gravel. Definitely durable out in the trail.
