Sturdy but stiff.
The shoe looks great and is very sturdy. Traction and durability are primo! Unfortunately these seem to run a little small or seem tight on the foot and do not provide anywhere near the amount of cushion found in the Free Hiker line. My feet have been spoiled by Boost.

Not great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately the heel is softer than the AX4 and so I had to return them. Some of the older models were better. Just like the Ultraboost 20 being better than anything after it.

Terrex swift r3 replacement.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 10.5
I got these to replace my old Terrex Swift 3r GTX. The main differences for me are: 1 The toe box is slightly less generous but still comfortable for me. 2 The ankle collar rubs inside just out of the box. This is improving with use. 3 A bit less stiff than the r3's. I find the ride very stable and comfortable on the trail. I hike mostly in central NH with veriable terrain. Overall I find these more than acceptable. If they wear as rugged as the r3's I'll need to up my rating.
